Companionship
Sustainibilty and Companionship
At Chambers Lakehouse Labradors we believe in sustainable living. Using solar power in all our buildings. We also believe in the power of physical and mental sustainable practices! A healthy lifestyle that includes getting plenty of fresh air, nature bathing and enjoying the many benefits of being active. One way this can be achieved is by owning and caring for a companion animal or pet. Regular walking or playing with pets can decrease blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Going outside and walking on trails is an excellent and convenient activity that benefits you and your animal. Pets can help manage loneliness and depression by giving us companionship. Pets or companion animals even help children with their emotional and social skills. Growing up with animals is linked to higher self-esteem, cognitive development, and social skills. Research has shown that owning a dog or animal can affect our mental health in the following ways: they can increase our dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin levels. These are the “feel good” chemicals our brains release that improve mood and affect happiness. We encourage you to get outside with your pet and improve your health, sustainably!
